Video Interview with Frank Pearce

Recently, GameTrailers.com had an opportunity to speak with Frank Pearce on some of the latest topics surrounding StarCraft II.

While nothing extraordinary was revealed during this interview, it does act as a nice primer for anyone who has not been following the latest news on StarCraft 2 closely. Pearce briefly runs through some of the elements from the original StarCraft that will be carried into sequel, and takes a moment to reaffirm that multi-player functionality is essentially complete, while single player and the new battle.net is yet to be completed.

Here is a quick overview of the points discussed:

  • Maintain gameplay pace from StarCraft I
  • Three races + New Units and New abilities to units from the Original StarCraft
  • Strong single player campaign
  • Innovative cinematic
  • New map making tools

Pearce also re-confirmed that multi-player functionality is pretty solid, but single player and battle.net functionality is really that all remains.
